Colossians 3:23–24 (NIV): “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

How Can My Daily Tasks Become Acts of Worship?

If you can reframe your mindset to see that everything you do on this earth is a reflection of how you glorify God, mundane tasks will carry a different kind of weight. Being the hands and feet of Jesus means thoughtfully completing tasks and treating other’s with love and respect in the process. Our Lord and savior doesn’t deserve half-way or muted efforts, he deserves our best because He gave us His best. Earthly rewards might fade or be unfair, but God sees everything and promises a lasting reward. Working with all our effort is a form of worship.

Now Let's Pray

Dear Heavenly Father thank You for creating us in Your image to carry out Your good works. I pray diligence and appreciation into our hearts as we complete our daily works and worship You in the process. Remind us constantly that the life we live is an answered prayer, and humble our egos.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
