The Bible Tells Us Not To Worry About Tomorrow

Matthew 6:33-34 (NIV): 33 “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

How Can I Trust God With My Future and Stop Worrying?

Jesus encourages us to make God’s rule and will the top priority in our lives, and to live in a way that reflects His justice, humility, and love. With the Lord as our center focus, we can trust that He will provide us with what we need (right relationships, means for survival) in His will and timing. Anxiety about the future robs us of peace in the present. We are called to confide in the Lord daily instead of hoarding control and certainty about what tomorrow might bring. Life is not easy, but God meets us daily!

Now Let's Pray

Dear Heavenly Father thank Your for carrying the burden of our worries and anxieties about the future. I pray that we continue to prioritize Your Kingdom and righteousness and trust that our needs will be met. Please carry our tomorrow and meet us in the present, and instill love, humility, and grace in our hearts.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
