Mark 10:28-31 (NIV): 28 Then Peter spoke up, “We have left everything to follow you!” 29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

Where Is My Place In God'd Kingdom?

Jesus confirms here that every sacrifice made in this life, for Him and the gospel, will be rewarded with unimaginable, kingdom blessings. These include a spiritual family, provision, purpose, righteousness, and an eternal identity in the kingdom.

Jesus also confirms that following Him will include suffering. Discipleship comes with both blessings and persecution, yet God’s presence sustains and refines us. Those who remain obedient, humble, and sacrificial in this life will be honored in God’s kingdom.

Now Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father thank You for blessing us with a kingdom mindset. Continue to remind us that the treasures of Your kingdom far outweigh the fleeting treasures of this world. Give us the strength to proclaim the gospel boldly through persecution, and to reach those who are far from You with the good news.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
