God’s Love is Constant and Unmeasurable

Psalm 139:17-18 (NIV): “17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand — when I awake, I am still with you.”

How Deeply Does God Love Us?

David is not just expressing gratitude and love for God’s thoughts, but amazement at how intimately the creator of our universe thinks about him. God’s thoughts are not distant and generic, they are deeply personal and meaningful. His love for us is so immeasurable that even if we spent our whole lives counting each grain of sand on Earth, we still could not quantify a value for this love. Human love can reflect aspects of God's love, but it can never fully match it. Even when we are unconscious in our sleep or unaware of God’s presence, He is always here.

Now Let's Pray

Dear Heavenly Father thank You for loving us immeasurably and consistently. Thank You for a presence that transcends through space and time, in the conscious and unconscious. Teach us to align our heart posture in a way that reflects Your love.
