Psalm 23:1-3 (NIV): 1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.”

We Lack Nothing

God is both deeply personal and all-powerful. The author, creator, and redeemer of the universe is also a shepherd who knows each of His sheep by name. He doesn’t oversee us from a distance, He is our faithful guide who leads us to rest, healing, and restoration. He righteously directs us to truth, not based on our merit and achievements but His character and goodness. With the Lord as our shepherd, no matter what the world says, we lack nothing.

Now Let's Pray

Dear Heavenly Father thank You for providing rest and restoration for our souls always. You are gentle yet all-powerful, You know each of us by name and by every hair on our head. Remind us that a life pursuing righteousness is a life pursuing You, and that Your goodness is eternal and unchanging.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
