Proverbs 21:31 (NIV): “The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord.”

How Can We Meet God Halfway?

Outcomes are produced by a combination of human responsibility and God’s sovereignty. God expects us to use our resources, skills, and wisdom. Preparation is not optional, it's part of obedience and stewardship. We must meet Him halfway by planning and preparing for life’s changes. That being said, despite all of this preparation, success ultimately depends on God. Knowing that God is always in control of our results fosters humility. This reminds us not to put our trust in ourselves and our own strength, but to rely on the Lord.

Now Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father thank You for blessing us with the knowledge and resources to ready our horses for battle. As we meet You halfway, please remind us that our victories ultimately rest with You. Instill humility and gratitude in our hearts when these victories come to fruition.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
