Jeremiah 1:17–19 (NIV): 17 “‘Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them. 18 Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land. 19 They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,’ declares the Lord.”

Do We Have Authority in Christ?

God calls us not to be afraid of people’s reactions. If we let fear silence us, the consequences will be worse than the confrontation itself. Through Christ we are spiritually unshakable, and have the authority to stand strong against all levels of society. Our strength does not come from popularity, but from divine backing. God doesn’t promise comfort, He promises His presence and ultimate deliverance.

Now Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father thank You for the strength and authority we inherit from Christ. Please equip us in all situations to speak boldly of Your name and complete Your good works. Remind us that we are here to please You, and serve others.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
