2 Timothy 1:7-9 (NIV): 7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.”

How Can We Walk in Boldness as Christians?

The Holy Spirit given to believers does not make us timid. Anytime we feel frozen or paralyzed in fear, this is not from God. God’s Spirit gives us power, love, and self-discipline. We are called to be strong and courageous in Christ, to show compassion and care in difficult times, and to stay grounded and act wisely. God gifts us with the calling to a holy life, not just to believe but to live set-apart. Faithfulness to the gospel may lead to struggle, but God gives us the strength to endure it.

Now Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father thank You for reminding us that Your calling is a gift. Our obedience is an act of love, appreciation, and worship. Give us the strength and power to speak about you boldly and live a life that reflects our love and surrender to Christ.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
